ABOUT ME

Joseph Dubery is a 29 year old hailing from the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. He enjoys working out, swimming, and playing tennis in his free time. With roots from the lovely island of Antigua, he is the oldest of 3 sons. Currently a medical student at Howard University in Washington, D.C., he has a masters of Biomedical Sciences from Barry University. With ambitions of becoming an emergency medicine physician, he hopes to receive his MBA to further understand and be involved in the business of medicine. Joseph became an initiate of the Eta Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at the University of Miami while gaining a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and minors in English, and chemistry. His two proudest moments were starting an annual MLK oratorical contest that gave scholarships to high school males and becoming an uncle.

While at Howard, Joseph has received awards for service to his class and the surrounding community. He was formerly a recruiter and team leader for the Freedmans Clinic, a student run clinic at HUH. He conducts tours of the medical school and consistently spends time mentoring and assisting other minorities interested in attending medical school. He has been to two mission trips supporting the island of Haiti and is planning a similar trip to Ghana this year.. Good mentoring saved his life, and he feels it is his duty to give back. Ultimately, he would like to create a transitional program that serves as a pipeline for inner-city students to be exposed to medicine. Life has afforded him many blessings and he would like to become a resource that touches the corners of the world.
